Bluebird Bake Shop is a charming local bakery in Savannah, Georgia. Bluebird specializes in freshly baked goods, including artisan breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Known for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, Bluebird Bake Shop aims to create delicious treats that bring joy to the community. The bakery also offers custom cake design services for special occasions, along with seasonal treats and a cozy café space for customers to enjoy.

    • Develop a whimsical and appealing brand identity that reflects the joy of baking and the warmth of the bakery atmosphere.

    • Create attractive icons for ingredients and baked goods that enhance the presentation and keep products fresh.

    • Create marketing materials for social media and community events, highlighting new products and promoting special offers.

  • To begin the logo design, I looked at Dribbble for bakery brand inspiration. Bakeries tended to go for specific aesthetics, from light and homey to dark and intense. I reviewed the client brief constantly to make sure I was keeping some of the brand’s keywords and personality in mind: warm, inviting, artisanal, creative, community-focused, and friendly.

    Since the business name has 'bluebird’ in it, I focused my research on the appearance of bluebirds. Their primary colors, blue and orange/yellow, led the final color palette. I went through a dozen bird iterations to change a real picture of a bluebird into a vector icon that was accurate but still fun and friendly.
